As far as all of the pieces I've seen are concerned, I would say they are art. It is where one's mind goes when viewing that has the potential to turn to the pornographic. It certainly has a massive potential for misuse - the point at which anything becomes forced, non-consensual or full on rape is where it should be illegal. The keeping secret in collections by men (who are sometimes the ones commissioning the work too), that could be where it crosses a line into immoral for me. However, the pieces in themselves are pretty fun, life affirming, joyful. If openly available for all to see, why not? If Damien Hirst's dead animal are considered to be exceptional pieces of art then I definitely don't see why these wouldn't be!
