Being a Brit I never saw 'Reading Rainbow', but 'Star Trek' has soaked into my consciousness from birth, since my dad watched re-runs of the original series avidly so it followed that I would gravitate to 'Next Generation' on my own accord. I've loved all the newer ones too actually, it was great seeing Levar and the others again on the last series of 'Picard'.
