Green cities have interested me for some time now. I saw some photos around ten years (ish) ago of some apartment blocks in South America somewhere...Brazil?? I can't find them online now, only the more recent purpose built tower blocks (Singapore etc), but they stuck in my mind and I've also followed the idea of community garden spaces and the like with interest. As you say, this is probably going to be the only way forward.
