Hi Laura, again I agree. It's the traditional 'stiff upper lip', 'keep calm and carry on', 'mustn't grumble' attitude that the British (or as you correctly say, English in particular) seem to have ingrained. At least in part. There's also a vast amount of apathy spread through the 'working class' and 'under class' (or unemployed masses). That's a learned response from decades of being brought up in a class system which we often get told doesn't exist any more, but still has pretty rigid boundaries which are difficult to cross.

None of this helped by having a Labour party who's 'centrist' membership and leadership is practically 'Tory Light'. It's most definitely not the Labour party it used to be, was set up to be.
