Have you read the book it's based on (by John Fowles)? It's one of my absolute all-time favourites - and Sarah Woodruff is one of my favourite characters! I was never 100% sure about the choice of Meryl Streep for her, though I loved Jeremy Irons as Charles. (I generally love Jeremy Irons in anything to be fair). I enjoy the film, the cinematography I find very satisfying, but still prefer the novel by far.
