I agree with the points you make here — but I also agree with those who have commented that when you say ‘Britain/British/Brits’ you really should be saying ‘England/English’. I’m English, I’m despairing at this ‘Freedom Day’ business — and honestly beginning to wish that instead of being just this side of the border, I was just on the other side, in Scotland.
