I don't know about you (I suppose yours are only young yet), but at every age my child reached, I relived my own life in my thoughts and dreams. Not always great, some of my years were horrors, but interesting always. It helped consciously direct my parenting anyway - and in the end convinced me at long last that a psychotherapist might be in order...
