I agree with all you say here, excepting what I think comes down to different spiritual foundation.

As I've said in the publication guidelines, all religious expression is welcome here so long as everyone is respectful of each other, so we have no problem there.

I do absolutely agree with your main point though - words do matter so much, and it is essential that we remember the effect they will have (especially on children I feel) before we ever use them. Whenever we speak or write, we need to do so consciously, truthfully (as best we can), gently and respectfully.
