I've never made it to Stonehenge for the solstice celebrations. My health issues and travelling distance obviously play a large part in that, but I've definitely been put off by the 'touristy' aspect as well. Our local stone circle gets busy enough (also with a rather touristy element), the thought of the crowds and such at Stonehenge is really too much.

Thank you for submitting this piece of writing to the Salon, this is certainly a very important aspect of British culture.
