I’m a huge fan of Christopher Isherwood’s writing myself and have recently been rereading some of his works. (I must admit that the film version of ‘A Single Man’ is one of my most adored cinematic works too — not least because of my abiding love for Colin Firth!)

I absolutely agree with your thoughts on parallel rises in anti-LGBTQ+ fervour and Fascist political movements, across Europe and the UK as well as the USA.

It’s frankly quite terrifying and I have such fear for the darkness that may well be coming right now. How can this be happening again, when for a few years there such incredible improvement was being made in levels of tolerance and acceptance that the future looked nothing but airy and bright?
