Thank you for bringing this essay to us, it's a brilliant piece of work and I'm really pleased to host it.

I've read both of these books myself and again, I agree. As a woman who has always been 'different'/'mouthy'/'too much' - who has trauma issues - it's a unique form of self-torture, of masochism, to keep reading. But they are marvellous important books.
