My partner an I have both been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I also have other 'invisible' but hugely painful and exhausting conditions alongside. So I completely empathise.
One supposed 'pain consultant' my partner was sent to see told him he had mental health problems, he should stop taking all his meds; get an exercise bike and get on it (?); and leave me because there was "clearly something wrong at home" and I was 'enabling' him. Despite my numerous issues, his condition is more debilitating, so I also act as his carer, and on that day had driven him there, pushed him in a wheelchair and supported his communication during the appointment. We were in that room for an hour - and I cried for around forty minutes of that.
So I understand Ira and (useless as it is) send love and support.
