No! That was me including rappers, I didn't think you were being facetious at all - and I know you do read!

I've been listening to a fair bit of spoken word poetry recently, which put against rap has some pretty blurred boundaries.

Any good song writer's work, when read without music, should sound like poetry anyway Don't you think?

I've read some Kae Tempest and enjoy it.

Caleb Femi I've been aware of but haven't got round to yet - you've just bumped 'POOR' further up my wishlist.

I have 'Calling A Wolf A Wolf' by Kaveh Akbar. When I first picked it up in 2017 (when it was published), I wasn't sure, but reading again a couple of years later I really liked a lot of his pieces. As you say, we keep growing and changing ourselves, so I guess I was a different reader in a different place by then.

Have you read any Danez Smith? I loved 'Don't Call Us Dead'. I think you might enjoy that collection.

As for Frank Stanford, I know the name and a little about him, but I don't think I've ever read anything of his at all.
