Now I'd be very interested in seeing that Reece, do you happen to know if it's available anywhere online?

And related, I do rather enjoy the way Terry Gilliam's brain works!

'Blade Runner' will always and forever be my favourite futuristic sci-fi. There was something about that grim, rainy darkness that made the unreal feel very real, believable, if that makes any sense.

The 'Altered Carbon' series employed a similar setting I thought - and strangely I loved that too.

The other futuristic film in that vein which always comes to my mind is 'Equilibrium'. Do you know that one? I'm sure you do. You can catch influences from elsewhere, but it's themes and atmosphere have stuck in my mind.

Good read anyway, thanks for the interesting prompt response.
