P.S. I personally find that image of Kanye West's performance art to be rather terrifyingly intimidating. BUT, it was bothering in my mind as I read the rest of the piece and wrote my first comment - and it strikes me that, like the spines of a hedgehog, the way this figure is dressed is also highly protective of what's inside. This is the first time I've seen any of West's work outside of his music and know nothing about it at all, but I am kind of peripherally aware that he has a rather vulnerable mental health situation - I think I'm right? So, admittedly perhaps wrongly, I'd be inclined to wonder if what we ae looking at there isn't protective rather than aggressive? I need to go look that up now. Wave me goodbye as I disappear down yet another rabbit hole.....
