Reece, I commented a little while back that your poetry writing skills have grown - well, that goes for your review essays too. From my first reading of your, already very good, work I've watched your writing flourish and grow in confidence. I'm so pleased to have you on my 'team' at Counter Arts!

On the subject of this essay, 'John Wick' and I parted company after the second film, during which I became so overwhelmed by the amount of gunfire that tears erupted and I sobbed through the rest of the scene.

Don't judge me, lol, I may have been feeling a little emotionally delicate to start with.

I'm pretty loud re how I feel about guns generally and I'm not a huge fan of them on film either, but I normally manage to cope to watch a film with my family. Hollywood blockbuster action films, however, seem to be becoming all gunfight (and often very little plot) - and I'm finding it just too much. So movie night is taking a hiatus here.
