Somehow the existence of this sequel had entirely escaped my notice Simon - and I must admit that, had I not read about it here, I would have been inclined to avoid it. So thank you for letting me know that it's not unworthy of it's title (as so many sequels so unfortunately are).

'The Railway Children' (which I spotted showing on the BBC just a day or two ago and made a note to watch again). That film probably ranks as one of the stand out great memories of my childhood. The mere thought of it is so evocative for me. I will always think of Jenny Agutter as 'Bobby' - and in a strange moment of sad synchronicity, I saw this morning that dear Bernard Cribbins has passed on at the tender age of 93.
