I continue to be horrified by the lack of funded healthcare for those who need it in the US and I'm absolutely certain any thing they do give is as hard to both get and keep as it is here.

Why are the ill and disabled constantly treated like spongers/grafters? Sure, there will always be a few immoral individuals who try to game to system, but if 'innocent until proven guilty applies in the legal system, surely it should apply to the sick and vulnerable as well?
