I agree with the sentiment of being kind and caring for others 100%.

I don't personally think that requires us to be 'Jesus-like' , we can all be good people and look after each other without any religion being involved (and there are and have been a lot of terrible things done in the name of Christianity).

However, even though I'm not Christian, I do believe that there may have been an actual man who the story of Jesus Christ is based upon; and if so, yes, he was a good, kind man who performed many charitable acts and looked after the ill, old and needy. So I will concede that to be 'Jesus-like' would not be a bad thing.
