Really good work Rod, a very enjoyable read - and I couldn't agree more.

I always say I'm "not that into scifi", but then reading this piece I realise I've watched every single programme you've mentioned (and more)!

I do really enjoy the more optimistic tone the Star Trek franchise is rooted in, plus some of the newer spin-offs have had such brilliant ideas embedded in them.

I loved 'Killjoys' though, you're absolutely spot on that this and 'Dark Matter' are real gems - but my absolute favourite series of the last few years has to be 'The Expanse'. I adored it. It was a great story, incredibly made visually and that soundtrack was a masterpiece.

So yes, I definitely enjoyed this essay, thanks again.
