I don't know the other two tracks, but (while aware of the song being aimed at the ex) I do find 'Flowers' nicely boppy and catchy. So I would imagine that's at least part of the draw for that one.

I think quite a lot of people hit New Year feeling up-beat and optimistic, but then really slump and go into a low way after the party season, aided by the usually unpleasant weather and low financial stability that keep them somewhat cooped up throughout the first month.

February, on the other hand, well folk perk up and get romantic for Valentine's day - and start looking for signs of Spring going on from there.
