That's all I've managed to put it all down to. They 'know better' because of their qualifications and positions, or so they think. Personally, I think I know my own body, I know my medical history and they are there to help not boost their own egos by being so condescending! As you know from my comments on other pieces, I've experienced a lot of the same indignities, invasions and violations you have. I've also struggled with mental health issues and trauma which are often triggered by seemingly callous disregard of my history. Like you I understand the pressures health professionals are experiencing (ever more so in times of pandemic), yet I'll be damned if I'm sitting back, being dismissed, ignored and treated like a mere brainless piece of meat, yet pretending it's all fine any more!
