Sadly, I can't see this causing much in the way of soul searching and repentance. They, as a community, tormented that child because they thought his very being went against Christian values and they will also see his suicide as a sin which confirms his 'wickedness'.
My heart aches for all of these poor children, but especially the LGBTQ ones who aren't even allowed to support each other. So so tragically sad.
