To be honest, that just stinks like blackmail to me.

Thanks for sending this informative piece our way Brett. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first read about this situation.

I thank my lucky stars that the small water/sewage treatment plant a cemetery, a beck and a few fields away from my home was updated a couple of years back and given all the latest bells and whistles - and 'lids' on the cesspools that are stirred and filtered - yes, it's disgusting, and yes, it used to stink at the height of summer, but given that most of the hottest times here coincided with the farmers' muck spreading on the fields anyway, it was just part of the joys of rural living, lol. Not that I fool myself into believing we didn't get any pollution in our waterways, but it could have been a lot worse.
