"Tree hugging hippy shit" was my brothers phrase.
I use elderflowers and berries, saint joan's wort, chamomile and others that grow in my garden and surrounding countryside. Strangely I've never been able to stand the taste of rosehip, even masked by sweet honey. I'm sure there's a reason why.
I sometimes think that it does take time, naturally to sit calmly with our 'femme' energy without feeling the need to somehow make space for the 'masc' (either our own or someone else's). If you believe in The Goddess, in the triple form - Maiden, Mother& Crone - then as we age, into our croning time, it makes absolute sense that we would lose the need for balancing energies. People often think/feel that menopause, when our fertility comes to an end leads to a loss of femininity too. As far as I'm concerned that couldn't be further from the truth.
