I was pleased to see you highlighting the disparity in definitions of 'educated'. I always say, school attendance doesn't necessarily equate with being educated in the sense of knowledgeable or learned. Just as being taught does not ensure learning, or indeed intelligence.
As Westover shows from her personal example, having no previous schooling doesn't bar you from further or higher education either.
